satoshis.watch works without an account. An account works without an email address or identity documents. There is no advertising, no advertising profile and no third party tracker on this site.
Your account
An account holds a username, saved addresses and their names, private notes, colours, preferences and paid access. We hold this because the account cannot work without it. Private notes never appear in public reports. Downloads you make from your account contain your own saved data, notes included. Passwords and Watch Keys are stored as hashes. Session records retain hashed network and browser details after access expires. Identifiers in separate sign in audit records are cleared within days.
Lookups
Request logs run and protect the service. They hold the addresses and pages requested, the time and the browser. Web logs mask part of the IP address and are kept for a few days. The Bitcoin data API drops the IP address for satoshis.watch requests and keeps its logs for up to a year, to stop abuse and to account for paid use. Our interest in a service that stays up and honest is the basis for these logs.
Providers
Cloudflare delivers and protects the site under its data processing terms. When our own history source is down, our servers send the requested address and transaction IDs to mempool.space, which handles them under its own policy.
In your browser
A cookie keeps you logged in for 30 days of use. Browser storage keeps display preferences and cached report or Sheet data used by the site. The page counter stores nothing in your browser. Privacy mode hides figures on screen; it does not change what the server receives.
Payments and messages
A payment record links your account to the method, amount, status, dates, invoice or address and the transaction. A USDC recovery also records the payer address. Checkout asks for no name, email, postal address or card number. Payment networks keep their own records. We keep payment records for the period accounting and tax law requires, because we must keep accounts.
A message sent through the contact form is kept with its optional email, the page it came from, the time and masked network details, because you asked us something. Messages are retained for support and related follow up. There is no automatic deletion deadline.
Deleting your account
Deleting your account ends access and removes private notes from the live account. Payment records stay for their accounting period. Login audit identifiers are cleared within days; session records remain, and backup copies age out under backup retention. Clearing your browser removes the browser's copy only.
Your rights
Edit or delete your data in account settings, and download your own data from History and Spaces. For an access, correction, deletion or objection request, use the contact page. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live. Changes to this policy appear here with a new date. The terms of use also apply.
