How to check a Bitcoin address balance

Paste a public Bitcoin address into the lookup box to see the balance and activity associated with that address. A lookup is read only: you do not need to connect a wallet, create an account, or enter a private key.

What you need

Use a Bitcoin address you are allowed to inspect. Addresses are public, but sharing one can make its transactions easier to link to you. Never paste a seed phrase, private key, Watch Key, or password into an address lookup.

What the balance shows

The report displays the Bitcoin amount associated with that one address, in BTC and satoshis, alongside its transaction history and unspent transaction outputs (UTXOs). A UTXO is a transaction output that has not been spent. Several UTXOs can contribute to one balance.

New transactions can be unconfirmed or absent until the data source catches up. Check the confirmation state and displayed data freshness before relying on a recent change. A missing or unavailable value is not the same as zero.

Why it may differ from your wallet

Wallets commonly use more than one address and may send change to a new address. This lookup covers only the address entered; it cannot identify every address in a wallet or prove who controls it. Learn why one address is not a whole wallet.

How to look it up
